01
Recipes and mixes
A recipe stores settings for generating again: artists, filters, groups and limits. A mix is a specific selection of tracks. Save a recipe to revisit an idea; save a mix to keep the exact result. Check for unsaved changes before opening another recipe.
02
Artists, groups and proportions
Choose artists and track counts. Groups define relative shares. Advanced filters can require all or any selected criteria; exclusions reject matching recordings. Artist-specific rules refine the selection for an individual artist.
03
Years, live recordings and albums
Year filters restrict eligible recordings. Choose live or studio versions; filling a live shortfall with studio recordings only happens when explicitly enabled. Album limits cap tracks from one release. Strict filters may produce a shorter result: read the generation report.
04
Duration and pinned tracks
The target duration is a budget, not a promise of an exact length. The engine selects tracks that fit while balancing artist and group shares. Pinned tracks count toward duration and shares. Changing filters, pins or limits can change the result.
05
Apple Music and discovery
Your MixRule account and Apple Music authorization are separate. Playback and playlist export need the appropriate Apple Music access. Discovery depends on service configuration and artist matching; ambiguous matches may need correction. MixRule does not provide an Apple Music subscription.
06
Collection and sync
Start on iPhone. Return to your mix on a bigger screen. Recipes and saved mixes sync when you sign in to the same MixRule account. Your account synchronizes saved data. Compare versions before resolving a conflict. Settings provides export, import and available recovery copies. Export your collection before a major change.
Privacy and access
The product website uses no analytics or advertising. The native app can store recipes and mixes locally. The web app and synchronization require a MixRule account. Keep invitation links private and sign out on shared devices.
How do I get access?
A public iPhone download link is not available yet. Access to a sync account and the web app requires an invitation.
